Tag #theprintswap now to be considered for our exhibition at Photoville (@photovillenyc). Among the images up for consideration is ‘Diana the Animal Healer, Topanga, California, 2017’ by Kat Bawden (@bawdenka). “Diana DelMonte, an animal communicator, tries to comfort a pig before he is euthanized,” the photographer writes. “This is from my ongoing series, Mystical Woman, about women who work in a deeply spiritual, religious, or healing field.” More at @bawdenka. Photoville has hosted exhibitions by organizations ranging from The New York Times, TIME Magazine, and National Geographic to Instagram, The Pulitzer Center, and the Magnum Foundation, and more than 80,000 people visited Photoville 2017. This is the second year The Print Swap will be exhibiting at Photoville. We will select a total of 30 images from The Print Swap collection to be part of our show. // #contemporaryphotography #portrait #portraits #photojournalist #environmentalportrait #portraitperfection #makeportraits #documentaryphotography #portraitphotography #documentary #photojournalism #photodocumentary https://ift.tt/2t8Aazq

and I’ve recommended it to several friends
I have gotten this book a week ago. I stumbled upon it and I knew immediately it was for me. I can’t put it down, and I’ve recommended it to several friends, all of whom have ordered it, are reading it and loving it. The premise is that animals are souls that live in the here and now and have wisdom to share with us to teach us deep spiritual lessons. These lessons are ways for us to unlock our own behaviors so that we may get in touch with our most pure selves and realize that we are loved, worthy and supported in all we do. Now I’m sure that seems like a BIG thing, or to some, ridiculous. I’m telling you the book shows you in a fun, gentle and supportive way how to gain insight into yourself so you can be the best you and help you live your best life. The animals we love, the ones that challenge us, confuse us, the ones that some of us bow to (lol) are really selfless messengers who are trying to teach us about ourselves. Put your human egos aside and let your dogs, cats, horses, birds, lizards, etc. shine their light on you and let them teach you. Not just for animal lovers, but for anyone looking to go deeper within.

Helped me cope with my pet’s passing
Before I read this book or came across Danielle, I had little awareness about the soul-level lessons that my pet was teaching me. I wish I had read this sooner so that I would have appreciated my pet more than I possibly could while she was alive. But I guess that’s the lesson - in the book Danielle says, “Sometimes, a passing doesn’t indicate that a lesson has come to its culminations, sometimes the passing is the lesson itself.” And this was definitely true for my case. I am learning so much and this book opened up a whole lot of other perspectives to see life in.

If you come in contact with animals you should read Animal Lessons.
Anyone who comes in contact with animals should read Animal Lessons. The lessons and stories apply to all types of animal relationships. Danielle’s book is for people who have an awesome relationship with animals, people who have a challenging relationship with animals, and people who work professionally with animals. Danielle shares her vast experience working with animals and people. I love her writing style – it feels like we are talking one to one.

Highly Recommended by a fellow Professional Psychic/Energy Healer
As a professional psychic (empath, clairvoyant and medium) and energy healer myself, I came very close to not buying this book because I wasn’t sure how much of it would be new to me. I am SO glad I did. I have had a series of rescued dogs come in and out of my life the last few years and they all had similar issues and Danielle’s book helped me FINALLY figure out what they were ALL trying to tell me. I’ve done lots of self-analysis and self-healing over the years and had not “gotten” this very important message. Brilliant, just brilliant.

More Insight Than You Might Expect from an Animal Communication Book
If you think you know what animal communication is, this book will likely surprise you. This book takes animal communication to a whole new level and one that I am very grateful to have serendipitously stumbled upon. Who knew this book would contain much deeper insight into how animals are here to help us and how they are actually communicating individual life lessons or ‘soul lessons’ as Danielle calls them in her book to the humans in their lives. Even as someone who has loved and been a caretaker of animals all my life, I was surprised by the content of this book.

Ashes to Ashes
Thank you to everyone that acknowledged the passing of my dear Ginger Bear.  Her remains arrived yesterday in a small box with her name on it.  I’ll share with you several “coincidences” for you to ponder:
When Ginger Bear first became ill months ago, I consulted an animal communicator as to what she felt would be my role.  She shared that “a tuxedo cat will see her through ‘the veil.’”  I have a tuxedo cat named Chester, who did just that.
She then said, in a lyric, sing-song voice, “I love you, I love you.”  The day after Ginger Bear passed, I went to QuickChek for my ceremonial morning coffee.  For two straight days the song “Rosanna, I love you” was playing.  The intonation had the same vibe that the communicator offered in her reading.
A day later, a random song was running through my mind.  I walked into CVS and that song was playing.  Later that day, I felt movement on my bed pillow several times… nothing there. Or was there?
I was trained as a Biology major and have one foot firmly in the world of science.  Since I’ve lived a fairly long life since then, I’ve learned to remain open to the vast invisible.  If it was good enough for Einstein and Hawking to contemplate the mysteries of life, it’s definitely good enough for me.
Years ago, my Ginger Bear was a gift of love from my dear friend Connie in Florida.  She was part of a barn litter, a fuzzy golden kitten.  She saw me through almost 19 years of twists and turns.  Her passing left a big hole in my daily life.
Along the way, her vet Dr. Rebecca Stock and the staff at Montclair Animal Hospital, bridged science and heart work to see her to the finish line surrounded by caring and compassion as well as great science.  I am incredibly grateful.
As consciousness unfolds, neither science nor heart work are enough.  Both together are sacred.
With love and gratitude,
